The Beltway cries out for another 24-year-old with Opinions, and I’m absolutely determined to meet that need.
A couple quick notes on what you’ll find here:
Over the last couple of years I’ve pulled together quite a bit of research that has never been posted or published. This research is typically too niche for an op-ed, not fleshed out enough for an essay, and too long or link-ridden for Twitter. Examples include my core permitting reading recommendations, a list of relevant NEPA stats, and a catalog of every executive branch NEPA/ESA/CAA/CWA exemption authority. I will publish some of these here.
I have a bunch of half-formed policy ideas that I’d love to launch into the void, with the hopes of a) getting direct feedback that The Idea Makes No Sense And Here’s Why or ideally b) generating some useful discussion. I also plan to put together a list of topics that I don’t have the time to write about but should absolutely get attention (How do we reform the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act? What happened to ProjectXL? What’s the ideal level of centralization for permitting?).
If feedback is positive, I might post more consistently. If nobody cares—well, let’s all pretend this never happened.
